Value Management
Value Management
Value Management encompasses the integrated and widespread application of methods, skills and knowledge to systematically maximise value for the organisation.
Value is defined as the ratio between the extent to which a need is fulfilled and the resources required to achieve this.
Value Managers lead or support a systematic and multidisciplinary approach to analysing and optimising the value of an investment. Value is defined as the ratio between performance (function) and cost. Functional analysis by the Value Engineer and creative brainstorming with a multidisciplinary team to explore alternatives are important elements of the Value Methodology.
Value Managers have a background in engineering or Cost Engineering and have completed a training programme recognised by SAVE International.
