VIEWonVALUE 
Collecting and sharing knowledge is one of the main objectives of Stichting DACE. To achieve this, we use not only our training programmes, networking meetings, Special Interest Groups and website, but also our own magazine, VIEWonVALUE. 

VIEWonVALUE provides knowledge and news not only for Cost Engineers and Value Engineers, but also for project managers, board members and other decision-makers in both private and public organisations. It offers insight into the background of the analyses on which they base their decisions: how is a cost estimate or value analysis developed? What implicit assumptions or uncertainties are involved in the approaches used? Why might I interpret the results differently from someone with an opposing view?

VIEWonVALUE contains articles in Dutch and occasionally in English. Two issues are published each year, with a print run of 1,500 copies. All DACE participants receive the magazine free of charge.

For and by readers
The magazine is created for and by its readers. Readers who are also authors. In this way, we help each other gain new insights and aim to inspire young people to become enthusiastic about the profession.

We call ourselves Cost Engineers and Value Engineers. This has a technical aspect, as we systematically analyse the costs, performance and returns of our clients' plans and designs.

But there is also a philosophical aspect. It involves having the courage to discuss the purpose and necessity of these plans, considering societal interests and connecting the different worlds behind them. Engaging in dialogue is more important than defending individual positions.

Together with you, we look forward to developing VIEWonVALUE into a rich library of knowledge, experience and developments in Cost Engineering and Value Management, supporting professionals in their work.
